Southeast Mississippi in need of residents help to fill 30,000 shoe boxes for Christmas | News

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM)- Every year 11 counties in Southeast Mississippi partner up
with Operation Christmas Child to deliver gift-filled shoe boxes to thousands
of hurting children across the world.

As one of the collection centers in the Pine Belt, Petal
Harvey Baptist Church needs the community's involvement in order to meet their
goal this year, but most importantly to let children know they are loved an not
forgotten.

"The people of South Mississippi have been extremely
generous with Operation Christmas Child, so we're asking them to be just a
little bit more generous and help us reach that goal of 30,000 shoe boxes,"
said Operation Christmas Child Area Coordinator David McPhail.

Collection week for the shoe boxes will be from November 12
– 19.
