Theater group presents Black History play
A newly-organized theater group will pay homage to Black History Month with the presentation of Jeff Stetson’s one-act stage played called “The Meeting: Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.”
The Renaissance Theater Group will present the acclaimed stage play at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the M.P. Bush Fine Arts Building Auditorium on the Jones County Junior College campus.
“The production is free and open to the public,” JeTuan P. Stephens, the play’s coordinator. “This is the first big production for the Renaissance Theater Group.”
