Red Ribbon Week Observance, October 22

The following is a press release from the City of Laurel:

Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country. Red Ribbon Week serves as a vehicle for communities and individuals to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of our children through a commitment to drug prevention and education and a personal commitment to live drug free lives with the ultimate goal being the creation of drug free America.

Please join Sgt. Shannon Caraway and the Laurel Middle School 6th grade D.A.R.E. class on Oct. 22, as they pledge to take a visible stand towards creating a drug free community.

This event will be held across the street from the Laurel Middle School, in the open back parking lot, beside the First Church of God located at 1635 Grandview Drive, Laurel at 2 p.m.  Please come out and show your support. For more information please call Sgt. Shannon Caraway at (601) 319-9188 or (601) 425-4711.
