SCRMC Blood Drive for Officer Tony Stiles | Community Spirit

The following is a press release from the South Central Regional Medical Center:

South Central Regional Medical Center and the United Blood Services will host a Blood Drive on August 8 at the Wellness Center from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. and August 9 and August 10 at SCRMC First Floor Conference Room from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. The Jones County Cattleman's Association will provide complimentary, grilled hamburger plates for all donors on Thursday and Friday at SCRMC.

The United Blood Services will donate $15 toward Tony Stiles’ blood usage at UAB for every united given in his name at the SCRMC August Blood Drive. UAB is outside of the UBS service area, so blood given at the drive will benefit patients in this area. The donation from UBS of $15 will be sent to UAB in Tony Stiles’ name.

The summer has been a challenge to provide enough blood for the community because donations have been down. With recent events, the importance of donating blood in our area hospitals is essential.
