Jones County officers get a refresher on domestic violence laws

LAUREL, MS (WDAM)- Jones County law enforcement officers are freshening up on the law to better assist victims of domestic violence.

Wednesday, the Laurel Police Department hosted a seminar to educate officers on how the law has changed over the last couple of years. Authorities said the law is much stiffer now when it comes to stalking and strangulation.

Police say millions of people are victims of domestic violence but never report it.

Million Bells is one of my favorite flowering plants in the early summer. I think you’ll find this plant to be a good choice for the summer landscape in your Mississippi garden.

Million Bells are known botanically as Calibrachoa, and you may see them called by either name in garden centers. Regardless of what name they go by, you need to have some of these garden performers in your landscape.
